ModCorr Showcases Innovation and Industry Leadership at the ACA 156th Congress of Correction

ModCorr made an outstanding impression at the American Correctional Association's 156th Congress of Correction in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, held July 30 through August 2, 2026. Attendees who visited Booth #507 experienced two fully constructed, life-sized examples of our products: a MaxMod cell and our newly launched Behavioral Health Unit (BHU) room. Complete with working doors, detention-grade fixtures, steel walls, and realistic finishes, these immersive environments provided a firsthand look at how thoughtful design and innovative construction can support both security and occupant wellness. Throughout the event, our team connected with corrections professionals from across the country, shared industry expertise, and showcased several of ModCorr's newest solutions, including the BHU, Steel Modules, and StakMod.

ModCorr's President Buddy Johns also participated in three presentations that highlighted the evolving needs of correctional facilities and the role volumetric modular construction and technology play in addressing them. During the Emerging Technologies Summit session, "Real World Case Studies: Solving Today's Correctional Challenges with Technology," Johns joined Retired Secretary of FDC, Ricky Dixon and Industry leaders to discuss practical technology solutions being implemented across correctional environments. In "How Off-Site Construction Can Shape Your Corrections Environment," he explored the advantages of volumetric modular construction, including accelerated project timelines, enhanced security and quality control, and improved operational efficiency with GDC Commissioner, Tyrone Oliver. Alongside Don Henry, Managing Principal of Urbahn Architects, Becky Luthey, Sr. VP, Operations and Development for Centurion, and Clayton Weiss, Health Services Director for FDC, Johns also contributed to the presentation "MedMods: Beyond Bandages and Stitches," which examined innovative approaches to correctional healthcare spaces, such as the MedMod.
